Welcome, and some pointers and requests

[edit]

    Hello NaDZBXTX! Welcome to Wikivoyage.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.

If you are a Wikipedian, then you may notice some differences in policies and the style of our articles. These include:

It may also be very useful for you to check out Wikivoyage:Welcome, Wikipedians. If you need help, take a look at Wikivoyage:Help, or else post a message in the Wikivoyage:Travellers' pub, as a reply below or on my talk page. Thanks for contributing!

Also, please pay attention to edit summaries when your edits are reverted, removed or substantially edited. You can see them by looking at the article history, for example the history of the Tsada article. Please look at those now. We do not use references in the bodies of articles, with rare exceptions, and never in the form of ref tags. It's also important to use the style of a travel guide, not an encyclopedia, and to use Wikivoyage:Article skeleton templates. As a village, Tsada should presumably use a Wikivoyage:Small city article template.

We all realize there is a learning curve for Wikipedians to use this site, as is true of any sister site. We welcome you here and would be happy to answer any questions you have.

    All the best,

Thanks for your pointers, i didn't know tgat no references needed here. NaDZBXTX (talk) 09:42, 29 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
References are good to put in edit summaries as appropriate, or failing that on the talk pages of articles, as long as you follow Wikivoyage:Copyleft and as much as possible put things in your own words (especially when your sources are copyright, all rights reserved sources that can't be quoted beyond a very small degree). Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:58, 29 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
I should mention another thing: Please have a look at Wikivoyage:What is an article. Very few attractions get their own article, so instead of creating red links for them, make listings for them. But don't worry too much about getting some things wrong and don't let that paralyze you. :-) Ikan Kekek (talk) 10:00, 29 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
    I concur with Ikan; I'll try fix some of the formatting issues mentioned when I get the time. //shb (t | c | m) 10:11, 29 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
