Saint Barthélemy - Government
Based on the etymolgy of Saint Barthélemy, it was explorer Christopher COLUMBUS named the island in honor of his brother Bartolomeo's namesake saint in 1493. The Government system in this country is the parliamentary democracy (Territorial Council); overseas collectivity of France type and the different Administrative divisions includes:
