    Épernay is a small town in north-east France known for its Champagne production. Some of the most famous brands are produced and cellared in the miles of tunnels which exist beneath the town. Notable brands include Moët et Chandon. Champagne-related places in the town are part of the UNESCO World Heritage site "Champagne Hillsides, Houses and Cellars".

    Épernay is surrounded by a number of smaller villages including Oiry and Magenta among others.

    Épernay is served by France's SNCF. From Paris the trip takes less 1½ hours and costs approximately €13. It is some 20 minutes by train from Reims.

    There is no TGV service to Epernay.
