Get in
[edit]You can fly in on one of Peru's national airlines to the City of Pucallpa and then drive by bus or by autotaxi, or, for the more adventurous, you could try coming in on a bus from Lima.
Get around
[edit]Mototaxis are the standard mode of transportation for Aguaytía.
See
[edit]There is not very much in the way of sightseeing in Aguaytía. Most attractions are water-related.
- 1 Boquerón del Padre Abad. A 3-km-long canyon where the Yuracyacu River changes its name to Río Aguaytía . In the central part there is a 500-m-long tunnel that pierces the mountain.
- The Cascading Bride's Veil (Velo de la Novia): a few miles towards Tingo María you can find this famous waterfall, which is a nice place for a day trip.
- The Devil's Shower Waterfall
- Alto Shambillo Waterfall
- Loroyacu Waterfall
