[edit]The Efiks, Quas, and Efuts are the predominant ethnic groups in Akpabuyo. Efik and English are the primary languages spoken, and all of the major ethnic groups have a shared cultural and ancestral background. Akpabuyo is a notable producer of cassava, cocoyam, kola nut, coconut, palm, and marine food. Mineral resources abound, including petroleum, gold, limestone, sand, and slat deposits, to name a few. Early December to late January is the ideal time of year to visit Akpabuyo for hot-weather activities.
