- Sri Ram Krishna Seva Dal Ashram, Amarkanan. The place was associated with the Indian independence movement. Independence leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose visited the place. Kazi Nazrul Islam composed a song Amarkanan moder Amarkanan while staying here.
