Appleby Magna is an historic village and parish in Leicestershire.

[edit]The parish includes the small hamlets of Appleby Parva and Little Wigston, and the villages of Norton-Juxta, Twycross, Snarestone and Swepstone; which even though in northwest Leicester have a postal address of Derbyshire.
Twycross is the home of the video game developer Rare, who developed Goldeneye and the Banjo Kazooie games for the Nintendo 64.
