Appleby Magna is an historic village and parish in Leicestershire.

[edit]The parish includes the small hamlets of Appleby Parva and Little Wigston, and the villages of Norton-Juxta, Twycross, Snarestone and Swepstone; which even though in northwest Leicester have a postal address of Derbyshire.
Twycross is the home of the video game developer Rare who developed Goldeneye for the Nintendo 64 and more recently the Banjo Kazooie games for the Xbox.
