Get around
[edit]Metropolitan Auckland has frequent bus services throughout. Trains connect the Auckland CBD with some parts of the metropolitan area: the Western Line runs to West Auckland; the Southern Line runs right through South Auckland to the town of Pukekohe, near the southern boundary of the Auckland Region; the Eastern line serves the inner eastern suburbs of the isthmus; there is no train service on the North Shore. Ferries run from the CBD to points around the Waitemata Harbour, east Auckland, islands of the Hauraki Gulf (such as Waiheke Island), and the Whangaparaoa Peninsula.
