Overview
[edit]AwardFares was created to address challenges associated with redeeming airline miles, which often require checking multiple websites. It consolidates availability data into a single interface and supports programs across major airline alliances, including Star Alliance, Oneworld, and SkyTeam, as well as independent programs like JetBlue TrueBlue and Azul Fidelidade.
History
[edit]The company was founded in 2018 by Philip Bergqvist and Richard Simko. A beta version of the platform launched in February 2018, followed by the introduction of a calendar view and a subscription model later that year. Additional features such as alert notifications and seat map integration were introduced in subsequent years, along with interface updates and support for multi-program searches.
Features
[edit]- Multi-program search: Allows searches across several frequent flyer programs in one interface.
