The settlement is located along the country road running in the valley of the Eger stream.
The town is on the Eger – Putnok railway line and has two railway stations:
- 1 Bélapátfalva railway station (Bélapátfalva vasútállomás).
- 2 Bélapátfalvi Cementgyár megállóhely. Named after the former Bélapátfalvi Cement Factory.
