Bacnotan is a coastal town in La Union.

[edit]Bacnotan is one of the oldest towns in La Union, having been founded in 1599. It is a primarily agrarian and tourist oriented town, and an ]alternative beach hub for those who think neighboring San Juan has become too crowded.
Get in
[edit]Bacnotan is along Route 2 (Manila North Road). Buses also ply this highway. However, the route bypasses Bacnotan’s coastal barangays and goes inland to downtown Balaoan. Instead, beachgoing travelers enter through a junction in downtown Bacnotan leading northwest to Balaoan-Luna-Bacnotan Road.
