Batifa district is administered by Zakho in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. It is about 30 km from Zakho.

[edit]The district has a population of about 28,000 people and is known for its agricultural importance.
In addition to agriculture, Batifa is a popular tourist destination due to its unique geographical location and natural beauty. Among its prominent tourist sites is Surya Waterfall, which is one of the most significant natural landmarks in the region. The district also boasts the village of Kshan. Shilin and Shilan are other areas in Batifa that attract visitors with their stunning natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere.
Batifa is home to several tourist parks, including Zambil Froush Park in the northern part of the district and Sayed Ghazal Park. Additionally, Kofki Resort is a popular summer destination where visitors enjoy refreshing weather and picturesque mountain views. Mount Shabani features many archaeological sites.

- 5 Barhole Village (بارهولي) (16 km away from Batifa). Barhol Village features a clear, turquoise river flowing through a rocky, hilly landscape. The river is surrounded by lush, green vegetation and steep, rugged cliffs. People are seen enjoying the water, with some swimming and others standing or sitting along the riverbanks. A concrete walkway or platform runs along one side of the river, where individuals gather to relax and socialize.
