Bequia (pronounced "backway") is a small island connected by ferry to St. Vincent. Admiralty bay is geared towards the sailing boats that frequent its harbour.

[edit]Bequia Express runs 5 ferries a day (fewer on weekends) between Kingstown (St Vincent) and Port Elizabeth (Bequia).
Get around
[edit]The local bus will take you over most of the island for around 3 EC. You can easily walk to most places; for example Admiralty Bay to Friendship bay should take less than an hour.

[edit]- Partying - There is a regular small party on Thursdays in Frangipani one of the harbour side bar/restaurants.
- Dive Bequia, South Shore of Admiralty Bay, ☏ +1 (784) 458 3504, [email protected]. Dive shop with friendly staff. There are several good dive sites on the island, and these folks know them well. An excellent place to get certified.
- Hike to Mount Peggy Peak (45 min) lookout for a stunning view.
- Princess Margaret beach is probably the nicest beach on the island

[edit]There is a beautiful but expensive vegetable market on the main street near the dingy dock. Cheaper vegetables and fruit can be bought on back street stalls.
