

Bharmour, is in Himachal Pradesh, approximately 60 km from Chamba.
Understand
[edit]It was an ancient capital of chamba riyasat (state). Meru verman who is said to have migrated from Aayodhya founded this riyasat in 6th century. One of his successors Sahil verman shifted his capital to Chamba. Chaurasi mandir (84 temple complex) is the main attraction of this town. Other places near by are bharmani temple, chattradi, hadsar etc.
It is said that Shahil verman's accession of Bhrampura (ancient name of Bahrmour) 84 saints came there when coming back from Manimahesh. They were greatly pleased with the King’s hospitality.

- 1 Bharmaani Mata (approximately 4 km (2.5 mi) away). Significant shrine dedicated to Goddess Bharmani, believed to be the protector of the sacred 84 Temples of Bharmour. Devotees going on Manimahesh Yatra first visit Bharmani Mata, after which their journey is considered complete.
- 2 Churasi Temple. A Hindu temple complex consisting of 84 different big and small temples. This was built approximately between 9th and 12th centuries has one of the oldest wooden temples in Himachal.
- 3 Hadsar Waterfall (14 km (8.7 mi) away). A beautiful, cascading waterfall known for its lush, forested surroundings and as the starting point for the Manimahesh Yatra trek.
- 4 Ghared Waterfall (also known as Chho Chhundu Waterfall) (approximately 10 km (6.2 mi) away). Visitors must climb around 200 m (660 ft) above the road to see this waterfall;, it's a bit challenging but is well worth it. This is a horsetail kind of waterfall that fans out while falling and produces a little rainbow that can be seen on the bottom of the waterfall.
- 5 Tundah Wildlife Sanctuary (approximately 15 km (9.3 mi) to 30 km (19 mi) from Bharmour at junction of Tundah Nalla and Ravi River). Altitude of this sanctuary ranges between 2,074 m (6,804 ft) to 5,532 m (18,150 ft) and provides residence to many different wildlife animals like Ibex, Pheasants and Himalayan Tahr.

[edit]You can buy intricate wooden carvings, especially inspired by the ancient temple art. Handicrafts, woolen items, and Himachali souvenirs are also available from its local markets'

[edit]You can enjoy Himachali staples like Siddu, Babru, and Dham, alongside popular Indian dishes such as Paneer Tikka, Dal Makhani, and various curries/rotis found at local dhabas.
Drink
[edit]Non-alcoholic drinks like tea, coffee, fresh juices, smoothies, soft drinks are available. Apple cider, a refreshing local specialty, is made from Himachali apples. Traditional Himachali alcoholic brews like Chhang/Lugri made from fermented rice/millet drink also available.
