Billerica is a city of 42,000 people (2020) in Massachusetts that is on the border between Boston’s inner suburbs to the south and the Merrimack Valley region to the north.

Take Interstate 95 to Rt. 3 (via exit 32).

Billerica is located 20 miles (32 km) north-northwest of Boston along the Northwest Expressway (Massachusetts) portion of U.S. Route 3. The town is also less than 3 miles (5 km) from the Massachusetts Route 128/Interstate 95 High-Technology belt to the south and less than 2 miles (3 km) from the Interstate 495 (Massachusetts) outer belt highway to the north.

Take the MBTA train - T line from North Station in Boston to the North Billerica stop, which is the second to last stop for this line. Or first stop coming from Lowell, MA.

• 42.534512-71.2615672 Nutting Lake Conservation Land, both sides of the Middlesex Turnpike. Open all year. Beautiful to visit in both spring and summer, this land is home to Micozzi Beach, which includes an on-duty lifeguard and boat ramp. Great spot for ice-fishing in the winter.

There's not too much in the way of shopping directly in Billerica, but the surrounding towns like Burlington (Massachusetts) offer more options.
