Get in
[edit]There are several buses a day to and from L'Áquila.
Get around
[edit]The village is small and anybody can get to the two churches just outside. There is a castle on a hill above the village that requires a degree of fitness.
See
[edit]The view from the castle more than justifies the slog up. As for the churches, if they were in a more visited region like Tuscany, they would surely be on everybody's tourist trail. The Abbey of Santa Maria Assunta has three lovely apses but is relatively plain inside, although it does have some precious objects.
The Oratorio of San Pellegrino near it has the most splendid frescoes inside - meaning that photography is not permitted.
