Get in
[edit]Brusand is a train station on Jærbanen. Only local trains stop at Brusand (not express nor regional ones).
Get around
[edit]Use the railroad, or use your own car. There are no car rental services on Brusand, but you can rent one in Stavanger before you arrive.
See
[edit]Brusand has a beautiful beach and the country's only natural lagoon. The anti-tank obstacles erected along the beach during WWII are still standing.
Do
[edit]Swimming and sunbathing. Canoeing, diving, kayaking, soccer, birdwatching.
Buy
[edit]The local store is the CoOp (samvirkelaget). You can get locally produced ceramics at Brusand -look for the large sign that says "Keramikk" on a red house close to the main road just north of Brusand -enter even if there is none there, and push the bell-button when you're ready to pay.
Eat
[edit]The inn has a cafe.
Drink
[edit]Sleep
[edit]Brusand has an inn and a beachfront caravan/camping-site with cottages for rent.
Go next
[edit]All of Jæren has many things to see, and Brusand is as nice a hub for excursions as any village in the area -or better -since there are places to sleep there.
