    Bucheon (Korean: 부천; Korean pronunciation: [pu.tɕʰʌn]) is a city in Gyeonggi Province 25 km away from Seoul, of which it is a satellite city. It is located between Incheon and Seoul.

    Located in the midwestern part of Gyeonggi-do, it is a plain area spread along the Gulpocheon Stream basin that flows downstream of the Han River. It is a transportation hub in the northeast and in the west and in the southeast, Siheung and Gwangmyeong. It is very convenient to transport because it is close to Seoul. Bucheon has a large population and an area where various cultures and industries coexist.

    In the current literature, the history of Bucheon has been generally described since the Goguryeo period. Bupyeong, the traditional era, including the current Bucheon area, is recorded as Goguryeo's jubuto by various librarians, including the Three Kingdoms Sagi. Jubuto was the first place name for the Bucheon area in the literature.

    Wonmi-gu (원미구) As the center of Bucheon, commerce and culture are developed. Bucheon Station is located for convenient transportation and there are many various shopping malls and restaurants.

    Sosa-gu (소사구) With many residential areas, it provides a quiet and livable environment. It is popular with residents because there are various amenities around Sosa Station.

    Ohjeong-gu (오정구) An area with a well-preserved natural environment, it has many parks and green spaces. It is suitable as a family residence, and is well equipped with educational facilities.

    Middle East (중동) One of Bucheon's commercial centers, it is home to a wide variety of commercial and cultural facilities centered on Jungdong Station. In particular, it is visited by many people because there is a large shopping mall called Bucheon Hyundai Outlet.

Bows and arrows from ancient times to modern times, tools and records necessary for archery are on display, providing a quick look at the history of Korean bows. Free.

Sangdong Lake Park is the largest park in Bucheon with an area of 181,130㎡ as a green resting place that provides a pleasant urban environment. It is popular because it includes a 2.5-km trail centered on an artificial lake and Bucheon Lake Botanic Garden 'Supia'. In particular, Supia Botanic Garden is a greenhouse that displays 430 types of 2,800 plants. Inside, there is a skywalk and a botanical garden cafe. ₩3,000.
    • 9 Bucheon Art Bunker B39 (부천아트벙커B39), 53 Samjak-ro, +82 32-321-3901. 10:00-17:00. It is a special space that has been reborn as a cultural complex space in the city by regenerating the space that used to be an abandoned incinerator (Samjeong-dong waste incinerator). In 2023, it was selected as one of the top 100 local cultural attractions (local 100) by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sports, and you can recharge your cultural sensibility at a special place.     • 10 bucheon Pearl S. Buck Memorial (부천펄벅기념관), 61 Seongju-ro 214beon-gil, Sosa-gu, +82 32-668-7565. 09:30-18:00. Pearl S. Buck was a great writer who won the Nobel Prize in literature for his novel The Earth and a human rights activist who practiced love without discrimination. The Korean branch of the Pearl Buck Foundation was established in 1965 and the Sosa Opportunity Center was established in 1967 to care for war orphans and mixed-race children. The city of Bucheon opened the Pearl Buck Memorial Hall where the former Sosa Hope Center was located to honor his noble spirit of respect for human beings. The hall continues the spirit of Pearl Buck through international exchanges, Pearl Buck research, and other commemorative projects. Free.
    • 11 Sharing farm (나눔 농장), Sharing Farm, 41, Daejang-ro 118beon-gil, Ojeong-gu, 010-4418-6404. 10:00-18:00. It is an animal-friendly farm near Seoul with accessibility and hands-on activities where you can feed animals directly. You can observe chicks that hatch directly, and you can see sheep, goats, turkeys, chickens, and ducks as well as dogs. ₩8,000.
    • 12 Wonmisan Forest Bathhouse (원미산 산림욕장), San 20-10 Wonmi-dong, Wonmi-gu, 01099686671. 12:00-23:00. A place where you can relax with flowers and trees. Free.
    • 13 Mureung Dowon Arboretum (무릉도원 수목원), 382 Chunui-dong, +82 323203000. 09:30-18:00. Opened in October 2012, it has a total area of 210,298 ㎡ and has 1,334 species of trees. At the entrance of the arboretum, the duck pond has a rock formations cliff and a waterfall of Jolyseok, the symbol of Mureung Dowon Arboretum. ₩1,000.

    • 18 Bucheon Southern Water Resources Ecological Park (부천시남부수자원생태공원), 89 Yeondong-ro, Sosa-gu, 02-2060-4855. Open 24 hours. Nambu Water Resources Ecology Park is decorated with a large lawn, various sports facilities, and rest areas. There is also a water playground where children can play with water. Free.
    • 19 Ahn Jung-geun Park (안중근공원), 236, Songnae-daero, Wonmi-gu. Open 24 hours. In order to feel the atmosphere of a park honoring Ahn Jung-geun, there are stone statues engraved with the ink and famous words that Ahn Jung-geun used during his life, and there is a stone monument engraved with the record of the great man who shot Ito Hirobumi at Harbin Station on October 26, 1909. It is the place where Ahn Jung-geun's memorial service is held, and a commemorative event for his heroic deed is also held. Free.
