Arkansas State Route 178 is the only highway leading into Bull Shoals. AR-178 feeds into US Route 412, a key east-west artery in northern Arkansas, at the town of Flippin about 8 miles south.

From Springfield, take US Route 65 south to get to the Arkansas border; you will pass through Branson en route. Across the border, US-65 will become Arkansas State Route 65. AR-65 intersects US-412 about 35 minutes south of the border; from the intersection it will be another 35 minutes to Flippin.
