    Canigao is an islet in the municipality of Matalom, Leyte. The area is known for abundant fishing grounds and scenic coral reef areas suitable for diving.

    Canigao Island is uninhabited, featuring a lighthouse as its only significant man-made structure.

    The climate is tropical and similar to that found in other areas of the Philippine islands. These natural features often attract tourists and scuba divers.

    There is an entrance fee of ₱40 per adult, and ₱20 per child 6-12 years old (2021).

    The beaches have white sand, with tropical sea creatures and extensive coral reefs in the surrounding waters.

    The western and northern parts of Canigao Island are placed under protection as a nature sanctuary. Due to this, activities such as swimming, diving, fishing, snorkeling, and boating in the protected areas are limited by law.

    There are cottages that you can rent overnight (₱700 as of 2021), rooms for ₱1,500 a night, or you can also bring your own tent and camp (₱100)
