You can check the original Wikivoyage article Here

Pages using {{IATA}} template were the three letter acronym is a redirect to that same page. This should be the airport, city or district page that contains the details of the airport.

This category tends not to update until the articles containing the airport code are saved again (does not need a change but must go into edit and publish).

For airports not large enough for their own article:

    1. In the article for the city or district closest to the airport, in the By plane section of Get in, create a listing of type=go
    2. Use the IATA template in the alt field
    3. Use the wikidata parameter of the listing to connect to Wikidata (this will create a link also to the Wikipedia article), and fill in coordinates (these can often be got by syncing with Wikidata in the listing editor).
    4. Add other information, such as web link and telephone number to the listing. An image to put in an image= parameter can found by using the Commons link from the Wikidata page.
    5. Below the listing, give additional information such as methods of getting to the airport from the city centre and information on flights to the airport.
    6. In the Sleep section of the city or district article, list a couple of hotels convenient for those arriving or departing by plane.

Whether or not there is an airport article, create a redirect page named by the three-letter code IN CAPITALS – unless the page exists or should exist with different content (e.g. UAE is a redirect to the United Arab Emirates).

    • If there is an airport article, then redirect the code to that page:
e.g. for FRA IATA, the page FRA contains #REDIRECT [[Frankfurt Airport]]
    • If there is no airport article, then the redirect should be to the relevant section of the closest city article (or the relevant district):
e.g. for STR IATA, the page STR contains #REDIRECT [[Stuttgart#By plane]]
