Cetara is a charming and quaint fishermen's village on the Amalfi Coast. It's one of Italy's main centres for tuna fishing and known as food lovers' hotspot.

[edit]Cetara is said to have been established by a group of armed Muslims as early as the year 880. Today, the town has some 2400 inhabitants, but the number is declining.
There is a small Tourist office, Corso Garibaldi 15. It has brochures and can help with accommodation bookings

[edit]Located some 9 km south west of Salerno and about 50 km south of Naples, Cetara is a rather straightforward drive from there via the Strada Statale SS 163 and A3 Naples – Reggio Calabria (known as the Autostrada del Sole).
