    Chesapeake City is a town of 736 people (2020) in the Eastern Shore of Maryland, on the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal. The town has many old homes from the early 19th century that have been converted into bed and breakfasts, restaurants and the local historical museum.

    The settlement was named Bohemia Village shortly after the canal was opened.

    Chesapeake City is on MD-213.

    • From Baltimore, Washington, and the north, take I-95 to exit 109A then continue on MD-279 for 3.75 mi (6.04 km) and turn left to MD-213. Continue on MD-213 for 7 mi (11 km).
    • From Delaware and the south, take US-13 north, then DE-71 north, then turn left to DE-15, then turn right onto DE-286 on the roundabout. Continue for 4 mi (6.4 km)

    The nearest major airports are Philadelphia International Airport and Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI IATA).

    Chesapeake City's downtown on the south bank is fairly walkable and there is a pedestrian walkway on the bridge over the canal.
