Chittaranjan (Bengali: চিত্তরঞ্জন Cittarañjan, Hindi: चित्तरंजन Cittarañjan) is a railway town in the Paschim Bardhaman district of West Bengal, near the border to North Jharkhand. It is named after Indian freedom fighter Chittaranjan Das. It is home to about 39,000 people (census, 2011)
