Parish of the Blessed Virgin of the Assumption in Cortino
    • Parish of the Blessed Virgin of the Assumption (Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta). The church in the town of Cortino, documented in 1324, underwent various renovations and additions. The facade was redone in the 1950s in pseudo-Gothic style, to homogenize the whole, with large oculus windows and three portals. The roof is gabled, the interior has a single nave.
    Church of Santa Maria Assunta
    • Church of Santa Maria Assunta (Parrocchia della Beata Vergine Assunta), Village of Padula. It was built in the 15th century, but remodelled in the 18th century . It has a basilica plan with a stone convent cloister. The bell tower is a spire tower, built in the mid-1950s. The simple facade has a Gothic portal. The internal sides are decorated with marble tiles that cover the masonry where the ancient frescoes were (some survive); the ceiling is decorated with Renaissance paintings showing the Acquaviva coats of arms. The baroque altar has a monumental canopy, with a classical temple-shaped machine, surmounted by the monumental coat of arms of the Dukes of Atri, with the triumphant risen Christ in the centre, next to two niches with the statues of the Assumption and of Saint Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows.
