The main landmarks are the Friday Mosque (15th century) and the Sheikh Shebli Mausoleum and Tower, dating to the Seljuq era.

[edit]- 1 Mount Damavand. At over 5,600 m, Mount Damavand is the highest peak in Iran. Those with suitable equipment and experience can climb it in a multi-day expedition. There are several routes up to the summit, one of which starts from 2 Polour.
