Get in
[edit]Denmark is under an hour driving from Albany. It is around 4-5 hours drive from Perth.
There is daily air service to Albany from Perth.
Transwa [1] has direct bus services from Perth.
Get around
[edit]The town centre is easily small enough to explore by foot. To see the surrounding areas you will need a car, or take a bus tour. Greens Pool, at William Bay, and Ocean Beach are within reach by bicycle at 25 km and 10 km from Denmark town. There is a walking path along the river that passes the town centre, and an amble down to Rivermouth and back (returning along the other side of the river) will take about an hour.

[edit]- Elephant Rocks in the nearby William Bay National Park, has interesting granite rock formations, and is a great, sheltered, location for swimming and snorkelling in the chilly waters of the Southern Ocean.

[edit]The shire surrounding Denmark boasts many vineyards of high quality, generally tasting the wine is free. There are also several walking tracks.

[edit]There is an IGA (grocery store) as well as a general store. There are also several boutique stores selling a variety of items.

[edit]There are three bottle shops in the town of Denmark. Within the shire of Denmark there are many vineyards (and one meadery) of generally high quality.
Sleep
[edit]By far the most common accommodation available are houses available for short term lease. The council itself hires them out. Most can sleep 4-6 people and come complete with kitchens, stocked pantries and wood fires. lots of well being retreats like Aiyana Retreat are offering up-market accommodations

Connect
[edit]Internet access is available at the library, and at the neighbouring telecommunications centre. As at Jan 2008 free Wifi was available outside the library even during non-opening hours.
There is good mobile phone reception for all mobile carriers.
