    The Denver Metropolitan Area is a region in the western U.S. state of Colorado. The region is centered on the City and County of Denver, Colorado's capital and most populous city, but includes many suburbs as well.

    Roughly speaking, this region is comprised of Jefferson and Douglas Counties, the western halves of Adams and Arapahoe Counties, and the combined city–counties of Denver and Broomfield. It is bounded on the:
