    • Dixon is about 65 mi (105 km) northeast from San Francisco and 22.5 mi (36.2 km) southwest of Sacramento (via Davis 9 mi (14 km) east). Dixon is accessed from Exit 60 (Midway Rd, Lewis Rd) through Exit 67 (Pedrick Rd) of I-80.
    • to 1st St, Rio Dixon Rd goes south from I-80, through town as 1st St and becomes Rio Dixon Rd south of town to its intersection with CA-Hwy 12 21 mi (34 km) later. Going north CA-Hwy 113 runs concurrent on I-80 from Exit 66A to Exit 70 and 13 mi (21 km) north to I-5 in Woodland (exit 537).
    • Pedrick Rd from & . Road 98 goes 21 mi (34 km) from Exit 541 of I-5 as CA-16, along the westside of Woodland, to I-80 as Pedrick Rd (exit 67). This roads serves as the most direct route into Dixon from I-5 north/west of Woodland or anywhere further north without into & through Sacramento.

    • Jepson Prairie Reserve (Dixon Vernal Pools), 4845 Cook Lane (Take Rio Dixon Road/Highway 113 south from Dixon for 10 miles. When highway takes a 90 turn to the east, continue straight onto Cook Lane and look for the interprative sign), +1 530 752-6949. The Reserve is one of the few remaining vernal pool habitats and native bunchgrass prairies in California and is a National Natural Landmark. There is a 1/2 mile self-guided nature trail and docent-led walks are given Sa and Su at 10AM from mid-March to early May. Free.
    • 1 Silveyville Tree Farm, 6248 Silveyville Rd, +1 707 678-1823. Seasonal destination in fall (as a pumpkin patch) and winter (as a tree farm) with food and drink.
    • 2 Dixon Corn Maze (Cool Patch Pumpkins), 6150 Dixon Ave W. The pre-eminent corn maze of the region, open only in the fall up until Halloween. $18.
