Dumbrăveni has two villages attached to it: Ernea (German: Ehrgang, Saxon dialect: Argung, Hungarian: Szászernye) and Şaroşu pe Târnave (German: Scharosch, Saxon dialect: Šuerš; Hungarian: Szászsáros).

[edit]Dumbraveni has a train station and lies on the rail line 300 connecting Bucuresti (nord) - Brasov - Sighisoara - Teius - Războieni - Cluj Napoca - Oradea. There are two "Accelerat" trains stopping on this route, connecting Bucuresti (nord) to Satu Mare.

Get around
[edit]Dumbraveni is at roughly equal distance between Sighisoara and Medias (around 18 km) and both cities are easily accessible by local "Personal" trains.
