Eaglesham Voyage Tips and guide

You can check the original Wikivoyage article Here

The Whitelee Windfarm is a very impressive place for hiking and cycling.

Eaglesham is a village in East Renfrewshire in Scotland. It is between Glasgow and East Kilbride and is seen as very affluent and is connected to Waterfoot which is a hamlet with very expensive houses. Eaglesham is a conservation village and the whole lower part of the town is traditional houses and is all category A listed.

Understand

[edit]

Eaglesham was a planned village around the large central green The Orry and housed workers for the mill. Today the old houses run east to west with woodland and parks in between and it is a great place for travellers to stop to see an old and quaint Scottish village.

Get in

[edit]

Drive from Glasgow on the M77, then take the A726 and then take the third exit at the Belle Craig roundabout onto Glasgow Road.

Get around

[edit]

The village is only small and you can walk around easily though you will need to drive to get to things outside the village like the wind farm.
