By bus
[edit]Numerous companies offer service between different points in Santiago and El Colorado, and a round trip ticket usually costs around 12,000 pesos.
By road
[edit]El Colorado is only accessible by a narrow mountain route with over 20 switchbacks. Motorists should also be sure to check whether the road is operating in both directions; on weekends during the winter season, the road often operates in one direction (towards El Colorado in the morning, and back to Santiago in the afternoon).
