By bus

By road
[edit]El Colorado is only accessible by a narrow mountain route with over 20 switchbacks. Motorists should also be sure to check whether the road is operating in both directions; on weekends during the winter season, the road often operates in one direction (towards El Colorado in the morning, and back to Santiago in the afternoon).
