VC Bird International Airport is approximately 15 miles (24 km) away and is served by flights from the UK, US and elsewhere.

• 17.008333-61.7644441 Nelson's Dockyard. One of the finest condition Georgian naval ports in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. (updated Jul 2016)

• Shirley Heights. A weekly party held on Sundays at a nearby colonial fort to celebrate the start of the new week. Good food, although it (and drinks) is quite expensive. (updated Jan 2018)
