Etawah (इटावा Iṭāvā) is a city in western Uttar Pradesh, famous for its lion safari, as well as the Chambal River valley that houses various endangered species.

Cycle rickshaws are most convenient way to roam in the city as the lanes in the old city are narrow with huge traffic in the market and they also don't charge huge sums else other modes of commuting are also available like autos etc.

• Etawah Numaish- an annual Festival of the city, normally starts in the mid of November and goes up to mid of January.

If you get a chance to attend a ceremony, attend it because there you will get a chance to taste local delicacies It would be better if you attend a country side feast as they are more likely to serve local dishes like Mathe ke allo (potatoes cooked in buttermilk) Mix-veg etc.

If you don't get a chance to attend a feast then nothing has gone wrong, you can still pleasure your tongue with jalebis, samosas, pani puri, and aloo chat sold at various street vendors and sweet shops.
