- 2 Humboldt County Fair. Held annually since 1869, has a lot of country feel to it and a good time for the family
- Russ Park, Bluff Street. A 105-acre city park with four trail through a closed canopy forest with mature Sitka spruce and glorious stands of grand fir. It features more than 60 bird species and great views over the Eel River Valley.
