Roughly one mile away from the New Brunswick, Canada border, this wooden blockhouse played a critical role in protecting Maine timber interests during a dispute which took place in the 1830s referred to as the Aroostook War. The original structure was dismantled and rebuilt in the 1970s.
- 3 Maple Grove Friends Church, 462 Houlton Rd. Historic Quaker meeting house on U.S. Route 1A in the Maple Grove village of southern Fort Fairfield. Built in 1863 and renovated in 1906, it is believed to be the oldest ecclesiastical building in the Fort Fairfield area and the northernmost station on the Underground Railroad.

The Aroostook Valley Country Club is a golf course which straddles the Canada–US border. The club has its course (except part of the tee area for the ninth hole, and possibly part of a sand trap on the first hole) and clubhouse on the Canadian side of the border. Its parking lot and pro shop are on the American side. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the golf course could be accessed from both the US and Canadian sides, but now it can only be accessed from Canada.
