    Frenchtown is a Borough in Hunterdon County. As of the United States 2010 Census, the borough population was 1,373. Various names have been applied to this settlement after the many ferry operators residing on both sides of the river. The community had variously been known as Alexandriaville, Sunbeam and Frenchtown over the years.

    Route 12 from Flemington to the east and Route 29 from Trenton to the south both lead into Frenchtown. Across the bridge from Route 32.

    The Link bus transportation services Hunterdon County. Frenchtown is quite small and a pleasure to walk around. Walk through the streets, across the bridge, or down the tow path.
