Głogów is a city in Lower Silesian Voivodeship nowadays mostly known for copper mining. While city is one of oldest in Poland it was entirely destroyed during Second World War.

[edit]All sights can be managed in a 1 kilometer long walk. Though walking through the river bridge may be not very pleasant.

City castle, first built as fortification in 13th century then changed its role to seat of local nobility, expanding in size and acquiring Baroque elements. Badly damaged during war and rebuilt.
