Gejiu (个旧; Gèjiù) is the capital of the Honghe prefecture in Yunnan, China with a population of about 140,000.

[edit]Everyday, there are lots of buses from Kunming that cost ¥80. Buses usually take 4 to 6 hours (depending on how the driver follows rules).

[edit]There are buses around the city for ¥1 with old school wooden seats. Mostly same/similar route going through center - Lake Jin.

[edit]- Jin lake (金湖; jin hu). A lake in the middle of city. You cannot miss it! There are some parks around, Jinhu Culture Square (金湖文化广场; jinhu wenhua guangchang)
- Manhao scenic spot (曼耗风景名胜区; manhao fengjing mingshengqu). Baohua park, Baiyun mountain, Datun lake.
