Hasi is a region in northeastern Albania and south western Kosovo.

Hasi is an ethno-geographic area with well-defined borders, surrounded by river Black Drin to its West and south west in Albania and by the White Drin river on its south, east and north east in Kosovo. Hasi area is located in north-eastern part of Albania, while the south-western part remaining in Kosovo, in Gjakova area and a part that captures the Prizren area.This division occurred in 1913 at the Ambassadors Conference of London after the Balkan wars.

Hasi is known for its strong cultural identity,traditional hospitality,mountain landscapes and historical importance.The area preserves many old customs,folk songs and traditional stone houses.

The region experiences cold snowy winters and warm dry summers.The best time to visit is from may to september,when the weather is ideal for hiking,mountain exploration and cultural tourism.

Hasi has a population of around 40,000 in Kosovo, while in Albania it has a population of 21,500, for a total population of 61,500.

By bus

You can come from Tirana to Hasi using buses which are found in the bus station of Tirana. The first one leaves at 06:30 and the other buses leave 1 hour after each other till 17:00. Their destinaton is Kruma (the town) but if you want to stop in other places like villages of Hasi its approved by the driver however it doesn't affect the ticket payment which is 900 lek.

By car

The total driving distance from Kruma to Tirana is 170 kilometers.

Your trip begins in Tirana, Albania via the highway it will end at Kruma after at least 2 hr 30 min road trip.

Get around

By foot

The villages is not so far with one another so if u like walking u can visit them all even if you don't have a vehicle.

By bicycle

If you like hiking you can rent or if you own a bicycle it will be a great help visiting every place in Has because most road are made of gravel and not asphalt.

By car

There are connections between village and road so you can use a car to visit them.

By bus

There is one or two buses that go from Kruma to each village everyday and it doesn't cost more than 100-300 lek depending on the distance
