Heringsdorf is the famous seaside resort Kaiserbad on Usedom Island on the German Baltic Sea Coast bordering the Polish city of Świnoujście (Swinemünde). It is composed of the three spa areas known as Ahlbeck, Bansin and Heringsdorf (which forms the center).

[edit]Heringsdorf, Ahlbeck and Bansin each have their own distinctive centers with a nightlife of their own. Don't expect too many wild parties though, as they have a rather laidback flair with elegant lounges, cozy pubs and intimate music venues. Bordering Świnoujście (nicknamed "Swini") is known for its colourful nightlife with various dancing clubs.
