    Huxi (湖西 Húxī in Mandarin, Ô͘-sai in Minnan) is a rural township in the Penghu Islands of Taiwan.

    Huxi Township includes ten minor islands. There are many villages in the township. Among them, Guoye village is famous for its sunrise since it is at the most eastern corner of Penghu main island.

    • 1 Nanliao Xuhui Ancient Mansion (南寮許返古宅). An ancient mansion that is good for taking photos.
    • 2 Lintou Monument (林投日軍上陸紀念碑), +886 69261141. A monument to mark the location of the Japanese landing on the island.
    • 3 25 May Memorial Stone (華航525空難紀念碑). China Airlines Flight 611 bound for Hong Kong crashed in Penghu 25 May 2002. The Boeing 747-209B operating the route disintegrated in mid-air and crashed into the Taiwan Strait 43 km northeast of the Penghu Islands 20 minutes after takeoff, killing all 225 people on board. The in-flight break-up was caused by improper repairs to the aircraft 22 years earlier. It remains the deadliest in Taiwanese history.
    • 4 Chienshan Smokestacks (尖山電廠七彩煙囪), +886 69920660. 08ː00-16ː30. The power plant is the largest diesel fuel-fired power plant in Taiwan.
