[edit]Idagunji is 480 km away from Bangalore, 140 km from Mangalore and 195 km from Goa. There are many bus connections available like Seabird, VRL, SRL, and Sugama. A train (Konkan Train) connection is available from Mangalore. There are also Sleeper/seater buses like Seabird, VRL and SRS that depart from Bangalore and go to Murdeshwara and Honnavara. You can get on a minibus from there to Idagunji which takes around 30 minutes at most.

[edit]There aren't really any good accommodations in Idagunji to recommend; better lodges and restaurants can be found in either Murdeshwara or Honnavara.

[edit]- Murdeshwara is around 30 km from Idagunji. The beach offering watersports activities, and a very beautiful Shiva temple are the main attractions there.
- Gokarna, around 70 km further from Mudeshwara, also has a beach and a temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha as well as a neighbouring one dedicated to Shiva.
