    Ingmar Bergman (1918-2007) was a Swedish filmmaker and director known for feature films such as The Seventh Seal and Fanny and Alexander, as well as several documentary, television and theatre productions.

    • 1 Royal Dramatic Theatre (Dramaten), Nybroplan (Stockholm). Sweden's national theatre, built in Wienerjugend (art nouveau) style in 1908. Director Ingmar Bergman worked at Dramaten for decades, until 1976, when police entered the building during a rehearsal, and arrested Bergman for tax fraud; though he was later acquitted, he left the country; see Stockholm history tour for context.     • 2 Filmstaden, Greta Garbos väg 3 (Solna). A studio complex for the Swedish cinema, closed down and converted into a museum in 1999. Ingmar Bergman has directed several films at the studios.
    • 3 Bergmancenter, Fårö Svens 1118 (Fårö), +46 498 22 68 68, . A musum and activity centre revolving around the life and work of the famous Swedish director Ingmar Bergman, who spent many summers on Fårö. Every year during the end of June or beginning of July they organize the "Bergman Week" on Fårö, with plenty of screenings, performances and lectures related to Bergman.
