Itapevi, also known as Itacity, City of Roses, City of New Roofs or City of Hope, is a city in the São Paulo Metropolitan Region, in the state of São Paulo. It is one of the largest biotechnology centers in the country in Brazil.

• It is home to pharmaceutical giants such as Eurofarma (with the expansion of Eurolab) and Biolab , logistics and distribution companies such as Carrefour and WePink. This has transformed the city into the 3rd largest economy in the West Zone of Greater São Paulo, surpassed only by Barueri and Osasco.

• The city mixes dense urban areas (near the train station) with rural areas and preserved forest on the borders with São Roque, Cotia, Vargem Grande Paulista and Santana de Parnaíba.

• Rodovia Castelo Branco (SP-280): This is the main access (Exit 32). The highway cuts through the city and quickly connects to São Paulo (capital) and the interior.

• Estrada da Roselândia (SP-029): Connects Itapevi to Cotia (Raposo Tavares Highway). It is a winding but paved road.

• Rodovia Renê Benedito Silva (SP-274): Connects Itapevi to the municipalities of Barueri, Jandira, and São Roque, known for its winding roads and nicknamed the Highway of Death.

• Itapevi is the terminus of Line 8-Diamond for most trains.

• Itapevi Station: The most central and modern station, located in the city center.

• Engenheiro Cardoso Station: Serves the easternmost neighborhoods.

• Santa Rita, Ambuitá, and Amador Bueno Stations: Serves the westernmost neighborhoods.

• Tip: The train is the fastest way to arrive from downtown São Paulo (Júlio Prestes/Barra Funda) during peak hours, avoiding the traffic on the Castelo Branco highway.

• Mega Store Cacau Show: One of the biggest current tourist attractions in the region. Located on the banks of the Castelo Branco highway (Km 35), it's not just a store: it's a chocolate theme park. It has a roller coaster (Gira Chocomonstros), carousel, train-cinema, bowling alley, a huge cafeteria and chocolate "outlets". Free entry (you only pay for attractions and food and drinks).

• City Park: The pride of Itapevi's new phase. A gigantic park with a soccer field, sports courts, bike paths, and parking. It's very safe and well-maintained.

• 'Cohab Park": Another park inaugurated in 2024, it has become the new pride of the region.

• Itapevi Viewpoint: In the Serra do Itaqui, one of the highest points in the city, with a great view of the city and neighboring towns.

• West Side Gallery: One of the largest graffiti corridors in Brazil. Located on "Avenida Feres Nasif Challupe/Corredor Oeste", near the train station. It features immense murals painted by renowned artists on the walls bordering the railway line.
