Jagadhri is in Ambala Division in the northern Indian state of Haryana.

[edit]Jagadhri is adjacent to the newer city of Yamunanagar. As such, they are twin cities and in modern times have merged into a single metropolitan area.
The city was traditionally known for its brassware industry, giving it the moniker "Brass City". It has since shifted to becoming a centre of the timber trade in Haryana, being home to a number of paper mills.

Jagadhri is well connected both by train and road with Delhi and Chandigarh. There are two railway stations in the urban area, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri station and Jagadhri Workshop station, both of which are on the Moradabad–Ambala line.
