Jodhpur Division is the westernmost division of Rajasthan and is the biggest division by area. It comprises six districts and is dominated by the two cities of Jodhpur and Jaisalmer.

	WARNING: Many countries advise against all travel within 10 km of the Indo-Pakistan border. The India-Pakistan border in Jaisalmer division is unmarked in some areas, so be careful not to enter Pakistan illegally.

Jaisalmer division is generally safe and welcoming for travelers, with low violent crime and friendly locals, though visitors should stay alert in crowded markets and at night. The main risks come from extreme heat, long remote desert stretches, and proximity to the India–Pakistan border in Jaisalmer and Barmer, where restricted zones must be respected. Major tourist hubs like Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, and Mount Abu are well‑developed and easy to navigate, while rural districts require more caution, especially on narrow or isolated roads. Rail travel in the division is reliable, and road travel is smooth on highways but best avoided late at night due to heavy truck traffic. Travelers should stay hydrated, carry ID, use licensed guides and safari operators, dress modestly in rural or religious areas, avoid isolated desert areas without a guide, and keep valuables secure while following all local and border‑area instructions.
