KPop Demon Hunters is a Netflix animated show, and many of its scenes were inspired by real places in Seoul. The places have attracted global visitors due to the show's international popularity. These places are called Kedeheon Palgyoeng (케데헌 8경) in Korean, presumably named after Gwandong Palgyeong.
Prepare
[edit]Before you visit the places, it is recommended that you watch the show. It can help you relive the scenes in the movie and your emotions when you really visit the filming locations. Since you can visit all the places in one or two days, it is recommended to buy a 1 or 2-day Climate Card pass .
Get around
[edit]All the locations are in Seoul, and you can easily visit them by subway or bus. Taking the subway is recommended, because traffic in Seoul is very heavy. If you need a taxi, it is recommended to use local taxi hailing apps, such as Kakao T.

- 1 Gyeongbok Palace (경복궁), 161, Sajik-ro (Gyeongbokgung (Metro Line 3) or Gwanghwamun stn (Metro Line 5, across the Gwanghwamun plaza)), ☏ +82 2-3700-3900. 9:00-17:00. Rumi, the show's main character, is given her super power in this place. You will see a lot of people wearing hanbok, Korean traditional clothing, because people in hanbok get free admission to the palace. You can rent glamorous and glittering garments from rental shops around the place. ₩3,000.
- 2 Bukchon Hanok Village (북촌한옥마을) (get off at Exit 2 of Anguk Station and walk along the road for about 10 minutes to get there). 10:00-17:00. Rumi and Jinu sing a song together, leaping across roofs on Korean traditional houses (hanok). You will see crowds of foreign and domestic visitors in this place. Many houses are still inhabited, and you are supposed to respect local people's daily life.
- 3 Myeongdong (명동) (Metro Line 4 Myoengdong station or Metro Line 2 Euljiro 1(il)-ga station). The Saja Boys, the show's villain attracts pedestrians in this place by singing their song titled Soda Pop. It is one of the most visited places by foreign visitors in Korea. You can see lots of cosmetic shops, clothing shops, and street food vendors along the main road. Although it is famous as a shopping destination, it is also a place of history. You can see many modern historic buildings built during the ruling of the Japan Empire around the area.
- 4 Naksan Park (낙산공원) (Take Bus No. 3 and get off at Naksan Park bus stop). Rumi and Jinu talk together and feel attracted to each other, walking along the fortress wall. You can enjoy the scenery of Seoul, walking along the wall like the characters. You can view Bukhan Mountain to the north, and Han River and Gangnam District to the south.
- 5 N Seoul Tower (남산타워, N서울타워, YTN서울타워) (Take Bus No. 01A /01B or a cable car). 10:00-22:30. The Saja Boys holds a concert near the tower. In reality there is no concert hall around it. It is popular for couples, and you can see thousands of padlocks hanging on the fences around the tower.
- 6 Cheongdam Bridge (청담대교) (Metro Line 7 Jayang Station). The Huntrix hunts monsters over the bridge. It is linked to Jayang Station.
- 7 Tteukseom Hangang Park (뚝섬한강공원) (Metro Line 7 Jayang Station). The Huntrix gets off at the Jayang Station, and the movie shows the park around the station. You can see many local people enjoying picnics or resting in the park, feeling the freeze from the Han River.
- 8 Coex 3D screen (삼성역 3D 전광판) (Metro Line 2 Samseong Station). The Huntrix's new song, Golden, is released on the screen. This area is one of the most cutting edge places in Korea, and many financial companies and conglomerate headquarters are lined up along the main road in front of the screen. You can enjoy shopping in the underground shopping mall or read books in the huge library of the mall.
- 9 Seoul Olympic Stadium (서울올림픽주경기장). The Huntrix performs their fans in this place. Built for the 1988 Olympic Games and known for its unique shape, this stadium has hosted live concerts for many superstars.
