Since Kavalkinaru has more schools and colleges this village is well educated. Every one in the village is educated. After completing their studies, most of the people goes to abroad, Mumbai and Chennai, for their career and financial growth. The young generation sets their career in rig, software & BPO industry. Every one is assembled at Kavalkinaru in the month of may. Since we celebrate Sacred Heart church festival very grandly every year in May as well, this is the holiday for schools.

[edit]Once upon a time this village was the boundary of the kingdoms of the Cheras, Cholas and Pandiyas. So, it had an inn and well for the guarding soldiers, which became the cause of the name of Kavalkinaru.
