This former waste disposal site for marble processing byproducts is now a snow-themed park run by the Kishangarh Marble Association (KMA). It is popular attraction among photographers as the calcium-carbonate-rich slurry has built up into white "mountains", which evoke the glacial fields of Switzerland more than the Thar Desert Rajasthan is known for. Several Bollywood movies are shot here for a snowy backdrop without the exorbitant costs for exotic places. Expect spending hefty on professional photography.

[edit]Although the Kishangarh Fort area is safe, the marble dust of the Snow Yard is said to be poisonous, as it contains carcinogenic silica that risks lung damage and silicosis. Although there are no such reports yet, it would be safer to go to the Snow Yard with N95 masks.
